AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
Dr. Davis is responsible for the Environmental Soils Extension and Research
Program for Colorado. Her research and extension programs emphasize using manure
to improve soil properties while protecting water quality and economically and
environmentally sound fertilizer utilization. She has worked with feedlot, dairy,
swine, layer, and broiler manures to determine optimum application methods and
rates while protecting both ground and surface water quality.

COURSES TAUGHT:
Dr. Davis teaches AN448/SC448 (Manure Management and the Environment) and contributes
to SC564 (Soil Chemical Analysis). She teaches nutrient management planning
workshops throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

Dr. Davis has received over $2.5 million in grant funds. Current funding sources
include U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, US Department of Agriculture,
and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
